Hello and welcome to the Gloucester Cats Protection Web Site.
Our aim is to help cats and kittens in need, from Gloucester and the surrounding areas, to find new loving homes, so please browse our site to look for your new cat, send us a donation or read about events past and future, or join us by becoming a volunteer
Please note that we only have a very limited number of fostering spaces. As a local, volunteer-run branch, we only have a few fostering pens in some of our volunteers' gardens. We are not an adoption centre or large shelter. The nearest Cats Protection adoption centre is at Allensmore, near Hereford.
We look forward to hearing from you, whether by phone or e-mail, contact us
Do please check our events
page for forthcoming events.
Home to Home Adoption
Even if our fostering accommodation is full (as often it is!), we can still rehome cats by offering a Home-to-Home adoption. We can take details of cats needing a home and then advertise them on our adoption page. Please note that under this arrangement we would not accept the cat into the care of Cats Protection, and current owners would have to deal direct with any potential adopters. We are, however, always happy to answer any cat-related issues, so please do get in touch.
If you are happy for your personal contact details to be placed directly on the website then please call 0845-260-3280 or email the following address and they will be uploaded with the details of the cat you are seeking a new home for:-
If you have a cat to re-home please provide us with the following details:
- the cat's name, age, sex, colour
- whether it is vaccinated, and if so, when the next booster is due
- whether it is micro-chipped
- whether it is neutered
- whether it can go to a home where there are other cats, children or other animals
- whether it is an indoors-only cat, or whether it requires access to outside
- a digital photo of the cat
Please let us also know of any other details which you think the new owner should know, such as: the cat loves to be groomed or likes to help with the ironing by lying on top of the freshly laundered clothes.
